"Storm Win Game One, But Dream Show They Belong"
I know -- a win is a win and moral victories are such an abstract notion that they probably aren't worth our time to put much credence in at this stage in the season.
However, here's what I found surprising about Game One: although the two teams played even in offensive rebounding percentage (about 30% each), the turnover percentage differential (Dream 14% - Storm 21%) was such that the Dream actually came out as the better team statistically (Four Factors analysis and MEV). That's neither usual for a Storm game or any WNBA game.
Bottom line: as awesome as Sue Bird was, Game One might have shown us that this will be a more tightly contested series than most people think.

Naw. REALLY?
We seemed to be on our way to a win with less than two minutes to go, when the Dream rattled off 5 points in just 36 seconds and the score was tied in the final minute. This contest could have easily gone either way.
I'm a diehard Cavs fan, proud to say I never owned a LeBron jersey.
79-66
81-66: We swept the Purple and Gold at Staples!
82-74
91-88: We dethroned Phoenix after being down by 19!
The Sparks? Check. The Mercury? Check. Atlanta? Are you kidding me? In your "Dreams", maybe. HA HA HA HA HA HA! I'm so funny. Anyway, let's get that championship, Seattle!
79-77
Yeah- really!
Just what the coach said…and perhaps a response to people who don’t quite agree that the Dream have a fighting chance…
But, uh, glad you agree!
