Two quick fouls for Lyttle.

But the starting lineup with Price and Coco Miller seemed to perplex the Mystics initially.

Calls not working for Price.

Price tries to draw fouls. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:20 PM EDT reply actions

Lehning in.

Let’s see if she can defend against Washington’s guards.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:21 PM EDT reply actions

Two FT missed by McCoughtry.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:26 PM EDT reply actions

I’ve not seen a shot of Atlanta’s bench. I wonder if Kelly Miller is dressed.

WAS 19 ATL 17 End 1st Q

Atlanta was up 10-1, quarter ends with Washington 19-17. Two quick fouls on both Sancho Lyttle and Erika de Souza slows down Atlanta. Atlanta had to drift into the zone to hope to slow down Washington, Dream usually plays “woman to woman” defense.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:31 PM EDT reply actions

Both teams playing evenly.

In all of the Dream-Styx matches, the team that wins the rebounding battle wins the game. Both teams even on rebounds.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:32 PM EDT up reply actions

Mystics in two. The Dream are in a free fall. They came out strong, but the two fouls on Lyttle and De Souza will hurt. Mystics swept the Dream in Atlanta this year.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:33 PM EDT up reply actions

Price is back out.

…interesting to see so much of Price right off the bat.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:34 PM EDT reply actions

Sancho Lyttle with 3 PF.

Meadors took the risk in putting Lyttle out. The risk, unfortunately, didn’t pay off.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:36 PM EDT reply actions

WAS 21 ATL 19

Izi with 8 points. When Izi’s hitting, look out. 7-0 Atl run.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:37 PM EDT reply actions

That free throw was so good it froze time.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:38 PM EDT reply actions

ATL 34 WAS 26 5:30 2nd Q

When both Izi and McCoughtry are shooting well, the Dream are very hard to beat.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:43 PM EDT reply actions

Coleman with 3 PF

…and now, Washington has players in foul trouble.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:46 PM EDT reply actions

ATL 37 WAS 26

McCoughtry has some great moves tonight.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:47 PM EDT reply actions

ATL 41 WAS 29

Atlanta’s bench seems happy but I ain’t celebrating just yet, given ATL’s recent history of 4th qtr collapses.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:50 PM EDT reply actions

Interesting stat.

Coco Miller has 10 points. I suspect that the secret plan for the year was that Kelly Miller didn’t really get hurt, and the two switched places. That’s Kelly Miller wearing Coco’s number!

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 7:52 PM EDT reply actions

ATL is over the limit

The march to th eFT line begins. 2:51 left in 1st half. Dream up 44-33.

The lead is going to help us rest Lyttle and de Souza to shake off those fouls. Great job from the Dream.

by James Bowman on Aug 25, 2010 8:15 PM EDT reply actions

Lyttle now has 4 PF

Coco Miller 2 PF

Let’s not lose this game at the foul line. ATL up 54-39.
