Two quick fouls for Lyttle.
But the starting lineup with Price and Coco Miller seemed to perplex the Mystics initially.
Early foul trouble not good for you guys!

I’m surprised that Leuchanka and Bales aren’t in.

WAS 19 ATL 17 End 1st Q
Atlanta was up 10-1, quarter ends with Washington 19-17. Two quick fouls on both Sancho Lyttle and Erika de Souza slows down Atlanta. Atlanta had to drift into the zone to hope to slow down Washington, Dream usually plays “woman to woman” defense.
Both teams playing evenly.
In all of the Dream-Styx matches, the team that wins the rebounding battle wins the game. Both teams even on rebounds.

Mystics in two. The Dream are in a free fall. They came out strong, but the two fouls on Lyttle and De Souza will hurt. Mystics swept the Dream in Atlanta this year.

Sancho Lyttle with 3 PF.
Meadors took the risk in putting Lyttle out. The risk, unfortunately, didn’t pay off.
ATL 34 WAS 26 5:30 2nd Q
When both Izi and McCoughtry are shooting well, the Dream are very hard to beat.
ATL 41 WAS 29
Atlanta’s bench seems happy but I ain’t celebrating just yet, given ATL’s recent history of 4th qtr collapses.
Interesting stat.
Coco Miller has 10 points. I suspect that the secret plan for the year was that Kelly Miller didn’t really get hurt, and the two switched places. That’s Kelly Miller wearing Coco’s number!
Great 2nd quarter from ATL.
Hope they can keep the momentum in the second half.
The lead is going to help us rest Lyttle and de Souza to shake off those fouls. Great job from the Dream.

ATL 48 WAS 33 End 1st Half
McCoughtry 17, Iziane 12, C. Miller 10
Harding 8, Langhorne 6 Sanford 6
FG: ATL 58.3 WAS 35.1
Rebounds: ATL 22 WAS 18
Lyttle now has 4 PF
…and we won’t see her again until the 4th quarter. Time for Bales or Leuchanka to step up big time.
My heavens. That could make this game way more interesting if the fouls keep mounting up!!

The Mystics play “Car Wash” and that’s the Liberty’s.

You people...
all have your “own songs”? Nothing is as good as Thunderstruck at an OKC Thunder game. Ha. (Oh wait!! Wrong season still.)

That’s why I knew I could get away with it! LOL. Looks like they might get the OKC Arena Football team up in Seattle from us though. Can we call it even after that? ;) HAHAHAHA (Q would KILL me if he was here!!)
