It took a while, but apparently Western Europe has realized it can add foreign nationals to their rosters too!
Spain has granted "nationality" to Atlanta Dream star forward Sancho Lyttle. Lyttle will be eligible for the World Championships.
Loosely translated from the Spanish (http://www.feb.es/NoticiaDesarrollo.aspx?idNoticia=33531):
"In exceptional circumstances it as having excellent physical and technical skills to excel at basketball, which can help to raise the national team's potential future projects, their selection to participate in the World Cup, "the official document granting of nationality.
