The Seattle Storm are coming off of their first loss in 3 weeks to Indiana last night. The New York Liberty are hoping to rebound after a disappointing loss to the Mystics last Saturday. Adding to the intrigue is the recent addition of forward Plenette Pierson to the Liberty roster in exchange for TIffany Jackson.

so far, so good - 25-24 Shock, End of 1st quarter
Tulsa definitely continues to be able to figure out the Lynx on the defensive end – stealing inbounds passes, getting fast break points early…
Not only Jackson, but the other fairly new acquisitions Brown and Lacy look good too

This game was...
…well, it was better than Celts/Lakers Game 7. Outside of that, I’ve got nothing. Seattle played C+ basketball and still dominated (by comparison, they played C ball last night and lost). New York needs a coaching change. No team with Cappie Pondexter should be content with hurling up jump shots night in and night out. They are in dire need of a lead guard who isn’t afraid to knock the defense back on its heels in transition. So move Cappie to the point, try Kalana at the 2, and go, go, GO! As a result, Powell would regain her confidence as the beneficiary of a few more good looks. Otherwise, she is in the wrong system (or with the wrong personnel—or both, as I tend to believe).
At least she does recognize the obvious
but honestly, Donovan should not be coaching the Liberty this summer.

I'm am quite impressed by her improved shooting range
Independent of the increased percentage from last year, she just looks more confident with it and that shows up in her number of attempts – she’s already about halfway to the 105 attempts she had in her rookie year. And in more minutes her shooting percentage has improved this season… new coach, new system, new personnel, yes… but she’s making impressive strides.
Good to see her bounce back after last season.
