When? Saturday the 13th, in Shreveport, LA.

How? Ashley Augerson scored 19 points off the bench, and three players in double figures trumped a 22-point performance from Alabama State's Tanika Jackson for Southern to pull out a 60-47 win.

Upset? Nope. Injuries to SWAC power Prairie View A&M allowed the Jaguars to claim the regular season crown with a 14-4 conference record, two games ahead of the Panthers. Finals opponent Alabama State was the sixth seed.
