Tamecka is a Linden gal -- I grew up in the next town over from her, of course I'm a little bit older than her. I lived in New Jersey in Cranford.
She had a terrific WNBA career. She's one of those early, early players in our league and I think that in her tenure at the Sparks -- and then subsequently she moved to a couple of different teams -- she's just been a consummate professional and really was part of the foundation of this league. I wish her well and thank her for her service in our league.
-- New York Liberty President and General Manager Carol Blazejowski during an interview with Swish Appeal this morning on the retirement of Tamecka Dixon, one of the founding players of the WNBA.
