Baylor vs. UConn: Kim Mulkey on "The Game of the Year"
The latest and first "Game of the Year" of 2010-11's women's college basketball season will take place on Tuesday night at the XL Center, in Hartford, CT. You can see the game on ESPN at 6 pm ET, and Swish Appeal will be loaded with coverage. We hope you join us for the game!
To whet your appetite just a little, there was a conference call this morning featuring the coaches of the two schools, Geno Auriemma of Connecticut and Kim Mulkey of Baylor.
Coach Mulkey discussed a game with so many significant storylines: 1 vs. 2, Moore vs. Griner, The Streak, and so on. The real significance of the game, though, may lie elsewhere.

And what of the two stars? We've seen Maya Moore, playing in the World Championships for Team USA. We have not seen Brittney Griner since the end of last season. Has she improved? Has she grown as a leader? Coach Mulkey dished on what she's seen and what we can hope to see.
