I'm not a college basketball fan. I prefer the pros. However, I DO thank the UCONN, TENN, Stanford, Duke, Baylor, Maryland and other programs for producing some of the top women basketball players in the WNBA and the world.
But this year I decided I wanted to at least try college basketball. See how it is. And that got me to thinking...why not keep an eye out for all the seniors who have the potential to be at least high draft picks for 2011? Why not see how their progress is made and keep an eye out for that one senior that always surprises people come WNBA time? I'm not an expert by any means on who will make it but there are some seniors who I think will least have a good shot.
Here's my list (and feel free to add or correct me):
Maya Moore - UCONN
Jantel Lavender - Ohio State
Amber Harris - Xavier
Kayla Pedersen - Stanford
Ta'Shia Phillips - Xavier
Jessica Breeland - North Carolina
Danielle Robinson - Oaklahoma
Jasmine Thomas - Duke
Victoria Dunlap - Kentucky
Angie Bjorklund - Tennessee
Courtney Vandersloot - Gongaza
Carolyn Swords - Boston College
Ify Ibekwe - Arizona
*BTW, these players are in random order.
So there you have it!
Which senior are you looking forward to watching?
